Ghost Garden Wall Decor

This wall decor, crafted using the techniques and processes of the Ghost Garden series, was made as a Christmas gift for a friend.

My friend Becky's house is adorned with various metal objects—copper, steel, and brass—reflecting her love for metal home decor, which she has collected over time.

As an admirer of Harry Bertoia, I immersed myself in one of his collection books. Inspired by his early jewelry work, particularly the Ornamental Centipede from 1942, which employed brass sheets folded to resemble leaves connected through rivets without solder, I designed a Christmas gift for Becky in the winter of 2023.

Each petal features brazed brass tips, adding organic and luxurious accents.
